- The days that go work, studio, dinner, with no change in between.
- Anyone who wants structure without heaviness. It elevates a tank and jeans in one move.
- Named for founder Anushka’s grandmother, Lata — a professor and a woman of unwavering conviction. From the Sanskrit for creeping vine: something that grows slowly, wraps itself around what it loves, and endures.
How it fits
- Cropped, collarless, open front. Meant to be worn open.
- Sizes S–L. Chest 36″ / 38″ / 40″.
- Size up for a slightly longer, looser drape.
- Pairs with The Float Pant for a full look.
- Model is 5′8″ and wears a size S.
The fabric
- Khadi is handwoven pure cotton, spun and woven entirely by hand. The practice has existed in India for nearly 5,000 years. Every Sovereign piece is made from it.
- Here it is woven breathable but substantial, with enough body to hold the cropped shape without stiffening.
- A living cloth. It softens with wear, deepens with time, and becomes uniquely your own.
- Non-toxic dyes. No synthetics.
Where it’s made
- Spun and woven by hand by artisans in India.
- No shortcuts. Cloth made with intention, the way it was always meant to be.
30-day returns. Try it at home. If the fit isn’t right, send it back within 30 days for store credit that never expires.
Caring for Your Sovereign Pieces
Our garments are made of handwoven Khadi cotton — a living fabric that softens, settles, and grows more beautiful the more you wear it. That's the quiet magic of cotton and the handloom. A few small rituals will help your pieces last for years.
Will the color bleed?
No. Each piece is double-fastened and holds its color in water. One gentle note from nature: if you work up a real sweat — a long dance, a hot afternoon — your body's pH can occasionally interact with the dye. Nothing a proper wash won't settle.
Everyday care
Hand wash in warm water with a mild soap. Air dry. Please, never bleach and never tumble dry. Warm iron or steam before wearing.
On the longer days
Life isn't always hand-wash slow. When you need to, your Sovereign pieces can go through a delicate cycle — or a regular cycle inside a delicates bag. Air dry afterward; skip the tumble dryer.
A note on darker pieces
Wash your darker colors separately, in cold water, to keep them deep and true and free from fading.
Made by hand, by design
Every piece is hand dyed and handwoven, so slight irregularities are not flaws — they're the signature of the artisan and the loom. No two are exactly alike, just as it should be.
