The Cape Poncho
You put it on in the morning and feel covered, held, regal on the cushion. You wear it walking to the water in the afternoon and the breeze moves straight through it, light as open sky. You take it on the plane, throw it over your shoulders on the long drive home, reach for it when you need to come back to yourself — which is, if you are honest, fairly often.
This is the piece that goes everywhere you go.
There is something that happens to the body when something is draped over it — a settling, a softening, a quiet withdrawal from the noise of the day. It is not the weight of the cloth. The Cape Poncho has almost none. It is something in the gesture itself: the moment you draw it across your shoulders, you enter a different quality of attention.
The Cape Poncho is the one that carries everything Sovereign stands for in a single drape. It envelops you the way a meditation does: something already there becomes available again. And the arm slits keep it fully functional, so you are never wrapped up and set aside. You are moving, doing, living — enveloped in stillness the entire time.

A Note from Anushka
I designed this piece last and it became the one I cannot stop wearing. There is something that happens when I put it on that I don't fully understand, but I trust. I wore it on a camping trip to Catalina, sat on a cliff looking at the water, and felt completely, inexplicably at peace.
It is the closest thing I know to wearing your practice. Not performing it. Not signaling it. Actually carrying it with you... that quality of inwardness and openness at the same time. It feels the same whether anyone is looking or not. This is the piece. The one that started from an image of what meditationwear could actually be.
