You are dressed and somewhere to be. Work, then the studio, then dinner — and you never changed once. Nobody could tell you moved through three versions of a day, because you felt like one continuous person the whole way through.
That is the entire idea behind The Root Pant.
The Root Pant was designed for the body that is done performing. The barrel silhouette — wide and full through the hip and thigh, gathered at the ankle — settles the body the moment you put it on. You stand differently. Not straighter, just more like yourself. Grounded at the ankle. Breathing at the waist. The fold-over waistband moves with your inhale the way a good teacher's instruction moves with the breath — present, never in the way.
You sit cross-legged on the cushion in it. You walk into a room in it and carry a quiet authority you did not have to manufacture. It is your jeans replacement — the authority without the cost. You walk in the same way, and feel entirely different getting there.
A Note from Anushka
The Root Pant came from a feeling. That moment when you've been sitting for forty minutes, you stand up, and you're still in it.. still quiet... and the world tries to pull you back into its speed. I wanted a pant that held that feeling. That didn't ask the body to switch modes.
I wore the first sample for a week straight before I let anyone else see it: to the studio, to dinner, on the days I didn't want to think about what I was wearing at all. It became the thing I reached for without deciding to. That's when I knew it was right.
